What should my side play be on the crank pin and connecting rod? Thank you. Jim Brown

Jim, safe to go for 0.010"- 0,012" both outside the rods ( ie between the flywheels and the female rod) and also between the rods. You could probably get away with 0.008", but less is risking friction when warm. A little more won;t be too bad if thats the way your crank and rods make up. Of course, the rods should be centred and the overall endfloat correct too.
