Why do all the cases I look at have the baffles missing? Are they weak from the factory? Should I look for cases with stock baffles? or should I weld in my own 6061 baffles? Please advise.

    Thanks

When a piston or rod breaks, pieces gets in between and the baffles break. If it is better or worse running with full, half or without baffles is a matter of debate that doesn't get solved ever. I guess it is up to the user to decide. My personal opinion is with modern pistons and oil scrape rings, baffles is not needed. With full baffles, you can even consider running without oil scrape rings, but be prepared to decoke the combustion chambers more often.
