Does anybody know if there is a list which shows the different brands of magneto which are compatible with the original magnetos used on different models of Indians.

I do not think there is such a list - basically you can use any right side rotating magneto that is designed to work on 42° V-engines or which can be modified to this specifications as well as adjusted to the right hight of the amature in relation to the magneto platform.

Original equipment on 101s were: Splitdorf NS2 and Bosch DVAR (and DVBR). You can also use a Bosch ZEV 42 R (original on PP), Bosch FFVRS 42 (called the "Baby Bosch" in the US), Splitdorf S2 (as used on Indians in the years before the 101), Splitdorf RM (I have seen them on some 101s that were modified for racing during the 30ies and 40ies), Splitdorf CD (the predecessor of the NS Magneto and other magentos used on Indians before the 101 like Dixi etc, but this will look somehow odd on a 101 I would say.....

101 Specialists, please correct me if I am wrong.....

    Best wishes from Central Europe,
    Florian
