I am reluctantly offering my 1929 101 Scout due to health reasons.

All the expensive and time consuming work of finding and purchasing the right parts and doing the machine work has been done.

    • Motor number DGP7597
    • Purchased as a basket case from Christian Timmerman, Berlin, Germany in 2005
    • Motor and transmission overhauled by Michael Schneider, ProfBikes, Frankfurt, Germany
    • Correct Splitdorf DU-7 generator
    • Schebler DLX-64 carburettor
    • Splitdorf NS-2 Magneto
    • new Mesinger 3 seat
    • working Corbin speedometer
    • Original sheet metal and tanks repaired, blasted and primer painted
    • Frame blasted and primer painted
    • New reproduction chain guard from Ziggy's Motorworks, South Colby, Washington, USA
    • New rims painted black with stainless spokes and new Coker Diamond Treat tyres 4.00x18"
    • Reproduction bullet type headlight
    • Most smaller parts, nuts, oil lines, exhaust, muffler purchased from Randy Walker, Walker Machine, New Braintree, Massachusetts, , USA
    • Reproduction dashboard with new light switch and ammeter purchased from Christian Timmerman, Berlin, Germany
    • Taillight with clear glass cup, Culver Stearns Mfg, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA - reproduction
    • All parts faithfully fitted and nickel plated with high focus on a authentic restauration according to WOW Shop Manual
    • I moved to New Zealand in 2011 and brought the bike into the country
    • New Zealand Customs documents are available

What you see on the photos is what you get and additionally the following smaller parts:
    • New wiring harness
    • New chain
    • Petcocks for petrol and oil shut-off
    • New nickel plated oil lines and gas line
    • Brackets for magneto and carburettor wires and tool box, all nickel plated
    • Speedometer drive gear, nickel plated
    • Working Corbin speedometer with bevelled glass and nickel plated mounting bracket
    • Black speedometer cable
    • Generator belt guard
This makes the motorcycle 99% complete I suppose and it only needs to be painted and probably some nuts and bolts need to be nickel plated or replaced.

I can assist shipping of this bike worldwide through professional courier service at buyers expense. Contact me if you have any questions. I am a reasonable person and as long as the communication channels are open and clear, I have no problems accommodating special circumstances.

Photos can be found here 1929 101 photos or drop me an email and I send them to you.

    Cheers

    Ralf

For Sale-SOLD-1926 Indian Scout 37ci with a princes sidecar. This motorcycle was meticulously restored to museum quality condition 30 years ago by a well to do car/motorcycle collector in Denmark. This bike did sell a Christies Auction in Denmark in 2001 and then some how made its way to Wisconsin USA from where I purchased the bike and sidecar. Every aspect of the Indian is original and everything is in complete working order. I have personally road this bike over 1500 miles in the last two summers. It has a strong motor - smooth trans- everything works mag - amp. meter - generator - oil meter  - lights front and back - horn. The paint dose have some dings and scratches as to be accepted with a bike that has been ridden - not just looked at. YOU WILL NOT FIND A MORE HONEST BIKE AND SIDECAR ON THE MARKET !! Also I will stand behind this bike 100 % this is not a buyer beware sale. Just a retired guy who has come to the time when it is time to let go. Any question you can reach me at 315-250-4791 glad to send photos. As for the price $40k OBO the NADA is $31000+ and sidecars in this condition are $8 to 10K also as stated being retired ---- I can deliver with in reason on the East cost. with enclosed trailer.   SOLD - SOLD - SOLD
