Tire Pressure

I am so close to taking my '29 out for a test ride.  Exciting and scary.

The Rider's Instruction Book recommends 15 psi front and 18 psi rear for 25 x 3.85 tires.  That seems really low.

I'm running Dunlop 4.00 x 18's on mine.  Any recommendations as to a good tire pressure?

    Thanks,

    John

Hi John, exciting times. Check that oil level plug :)

I usually have a default setting of around 32 rear and 30 front on those Dunlops, but some people find that a bit of a hard ride. Try that, or a little less, personally wouldn't go much below 28 and 26 tho, kind of ruins the nimble handling of the bike, IMHO.

Remember to check the oil level plug.

    cheers,

    Tim

Thanks both for your reply.  I'll pump them up and see what feels best.

Tim - I am checking the oil plug and the head bolts.
