The transmission clutch side bearing for the 101 is a deep groove ball bearing, code 6207.
I am looking for a bearing for the pre 101 i.e. early scout and that bearing needs an offset (inner offset one side and outer offset other side) for the correct fit of the smaller clutch basket into the transmission housing.
A vendor offers a 7207 angular contact thrust bearing with this offset.
Should i be affraid that this bearing can cause the clutch basket to wobble and premature wear the clutch basket driven gear set or should i just reduce the aksial play on the main shaft to a minimum.
Since the basket gear tooths are angular cut, the force will be trying to pull the basket outwards, same direction as if the clutch is activated.
Kind regards Henrik
