    Hi all,

Just joined the Assoc, and am about to go pick up my first 'real' Indian on the weekend.  A tidy project, mostly together with a freshly rebuilt engine, a '30 37" 101.  I can't wait.

I'm wondering if there are any details available of actual colourschemes that were sold/available for the 1930 year.  The Engine has already been painted with black barrels and head.  Not sure if that is correct for the '30 37" or not.

Was black frame and red bodywork an actual scheme? or only all red?

I've been trying to also find, hi-res images of high point restorations for reference photos, as I'm trying to find details of correct Corbin, colours, decals etc... for my new project.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can have a big help with those questions if you join the Yahoo group:

    https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/101scout/info

    https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/101scout/conversations/messages

If you click on "Photos" and then on "Albums" you can find a lot of pictures that can give you a head start.

There is a search bar at the top of the page and and if you click on "conversations" you find the title changes to "search conversations"

Type in for example "red paint" or "paint scheme" you find a list of conversations where the word or sentense appear.

The Yahoo group 101 Scout might also have more followers than this forum.

For an even larger and very active Yahoo group, I would recommend joining the Virtual Indian group. A forum for discussion of all aspects of the 1901-1953 US built Indian motorcycles.  That group also have a lot of reference photo albums.
