1930 101 scout paint codes

    Hello fellow 101ers!

I'm going to repaint my 1930 Indian 101 scout this coming winter. What are the paint codes for Indian red and the cream paint for the tank side panels? Also the pinstriping I've seen done two ways. The 101 manual shows pictures of an original 101 with gold fine lines of pinstriping. But I've seen bikes with one solid larger line. What is correct for a 1930 101 scout?

Secondly, are the fuel/oil tank measurements the same for a 1928 tank vs a 1930 tank? I realize the hole through the tank for the lifter rod is different but are the overall dimensions the same?

    Thanks

Harold, same timeline here with the same question!  This discussion looks best to me:
