    Hello 101 friends,

I'm searching for photo's (or hardware) of the 101 Waltham speedometers. If anyone have these information available please let my know. If you have one ,or parts, and consider to sell it please let me know.

And i was wondering if the Waltham speedometers that was an option on the 101's also were used by or other vehicles.

    Any information is welcome.

    Thanks for your response.

    Best regards,

    Hello Carl-Eric,

    Thanks for your reply.

Is it correct that the speedo they offered for the 101 was a model 300 of Waltham with some modifications?

I can't help you there. In -19 a mod.300 just the speedo head did cost $60 according to the Waltham parts list, and in -33 a probably complete regular Indian speedo $15-17

Hi, At this moment i'm a bit further with my research for my Waltham speedometer for my 101 1929 Scout.

Is there anyone who has a Waltham speedometer bracket for the Indian Scout?

Was the Corbin drive at the rear wheel the same if you chosed for a Waltham speedometer these days? And the cable?

    Difficult questions i guess....

    Thanks for any reply!

According to the 1919 Waltham parts list PDF, there was a couple of angle joints that was 1:1 geared and the Corbin also has that (and 15:14/14:15), so I assume the rear drive would be the same, driven on the rear sprocket.

The W. bracket according to brochure is fastened by 2 bolts digging into the top tube. Ouch! Maybe I would prefer a corbin bracket that clamps around the top tube.
