I believe my front wheel is a 1930 because it actually has roller bearings but they are all loose is there a modern roller bearing I can use in its place and if so anyone have any numbers? The rear wheel does too but I believe this is from a 741 Sport Scout, I like it because it has a much better brake than the original 101 rear wheel.

Numbers of taper rollers should be on the rim of the bearing , and widely available, Pete. Two sizes, depending on if you have a junior scout front wheel or not. Both standard US wheel bearings available from your local NAPA, altho some bizarrely seem to need a few thou ground off outer face to fit .

Ok this will work for my rear wheel but my front wheel is a 1930 drop rim and does not have the Rollie bearings can anybody give me the number for replacement bearings?

The Timken tapered roller bearing part numbers are for the outer race cup: 1729 and the caged rolls with inner race has No: 1779!

There is no available standard bearing for the earlier ball bearing. You can easily find new 7/16" balls for the bearing, but the inner and outer race must be fabricated. It is possible that Walker Machine or some other 101 specialist  already has those special races made and for sale over the counter.

    Thanks Carl

The rear bearings for the 741 turned out to be 09196 and 09074
