Can anyone tell me the length of the sidecar to bike frame rear fixing bolt . That is the bolt with the ball on the end. It might be part no. N 9020 or N 9016.

I also need the diameter of the ball. I think that the one I have is worn and that measures 1.100"  . Maybe it stated out at 1.125".

    Mike.

Hello Mike , My balls are 1.125" and o/a length inc ball is 3.625"

Personal info over , the length will just have to suit your chassis , I know it's an unmentionable make but line the chassis up and make to suit . Ken

    Hi Ken,

thanks a lot for that. I was going to make the thread/ shaft part longer than needed so I can cut it down to suit.  Is the thread 3/4" UNF or 7/8" UNF ?

No telling from the part I have, as it was just welded on to the frame with no adjustment.  (Hopefully 3/4" as I have the die nuts for that size.)

    Mike.

the shaft is waisted after the ball to 7/8ths then the shaft is 15/16ths but then cut down to 5/8ths to go through the chassis and has 5/8 UNF thread . But if your chassis will take 3/4 then use that measurement to make the fitting .

The only important part is the size of the ball , the rest make to suit your chassis . Hope this helps , Ken
