Can anyone tell me if Indian sidecar to bike ball joint nuts and ball are the same as the Harley sidecars?

    Mike.

I Just posted a few new photos on Flickr of the various parts of the sidecar modifications. A lot of thought went into the various brackets etc. and a small amount of backyard engineering.

The only original part left of the frame is the rear axle tube and lugs and the wheel hub. Just have the front frame bracket to complete and then I can line up the lot before it is brazed up.

    Hi Tim,

will keep you posted. It might not be quite original, but it will be good and strong.

Not too strong, an old friend ,who was a ships engineer once told me not to make things too strong ,as some times it is better to have a bit of spring in the steel and then it won't break .

It has not been too easy a job, I have had great problems lining up the main triangle, but well on the way now.

I need to know the width of the sidecar mudguard. It it thinner than the 101 rear wheel guard ?

    Mike.
