Fuel shutoff valve for 1928 101

I have a leaky fuel shutoff valve.  Since most of the bike is original, I'd like to keep it this way rather than adding a separate shutoff below the valve.

Is there any way to fix the existing shutoff, or is there a source to get a new one?

Your valve does not look original to me , Jason. You may be able to take it apart and fettle it.Probably has a small cork washer, but parts may be worn.

Conrad Lytel makes good original repops, if you can't contact him Randy may have them in stock.

I was just about to update my post to say that this may not be an original.  Others said it's probably BSA.  I will try to track down the contact you mentioned.  Thanks.

Hello Jason , yes , tis an English bike tap , it comes apart and the cork washer (more of a cork tube) can be replaced easily by unscrewing it and sliding new one on . Should be able to get one from ebay probably , can over the pond anyway - see here

Or get replacement from Conrad , good luck , Ken

Hi Ken, sure I have seen them on UK  lawn mowers .

Possibly original type (repro) from Reno Indian in CZ.

Conrad Lytel makes an exact repro. Reno make a copy, which has a flat washer seal, which is fine if you make your own lines. A later petcock from Greers is also a good option, same thread fittings as original, slightly different tap. Both Greers and Reno will be much cheaper than Conrads exact original.

I think Walkers also sell correct fuel taps, sourced from Conrad.
