Cylinder head repair

    Hey guys

I wanted to share the amazing cylinder head repair that was done on my heads. There were a few fins broken off my cylinder heads. I knew I wanted to do a nickel finish so I needed to get these repaired or source new heads. Danny from Laughing Indian sent my heads off to Jon Reed in Utah. Jon owns cast iron fusion welding and specializes in motorcycle parts. Actually he said he works mostly on Harley parts but we won’t hold that against him. :)

The repair job is absolutely amazing!  I won’t go into details on the process as you can see that on his sight but I will share some before and after photos. These are going to look so good once they are plated!

here is Jon’s websight if anyone is interested or needs some cast iron repair work.

And here are some pictures of the broken fins. A picture of one of my heads in the furnace. And finally some before and after repairs pics. These show the heads after cleanup but before the fin repair and the final one is after the full repair. I am over the moon with how good they look. And, no brazing that would be a problem with the nickel process!
