    Hello Daniel,

There are many 101 Scout part suppliers. Walker Machine is one of them and they should have what you need. http://walkermachine.com/

Thanks!!!  I found  that sight sometime ago but forgot the name.

It looks like he has the pulley I need!

Also what kind of grease gun attachment do I need for these fittings?  I have never seen them before. Do they have a name?

I am not sure how to attach pics to the messages so I'll post pics of the grease fittings in the Flickr link above.

Those are Alemite fittings. Walker Machine has attachments for those: http://walkermachine.com/alemitegreasegunadapter.aspx

Looking at your photos of the bike at the last owners, it looks like there was a grease gun on a shelf above the bike. Maybe they will be kind enough to send it to you. Same thing with the oil cans and the wrench hanging on a nail.

Link to Reno catalogue. They list the pulley for the dynamo. Also photos of my bike.

Nice bike!  Do your garage floor a favor and put a pan under that beauty.

I would suspect something wrong with the genny or drive as the pulley was removed. They both have their weaknesses. Looks like a later model Auto-Lite gen is fitted. Tell the version type letters/numbers and your genny pulley diameter with Walker to confirm your genny is suitable and get pulley(s) that are right, and a belt with the right length. And better check up the genny function on a testbench. The manual regulating with the movable third brush is neanderthal, requiring constant fiddling, extra maintenance and still risk of ruining the battery. An easy modification is to make it 2 brush and use a modern regulator.

You need that alemite grease gun on the shelf! Or an adapter. Badly. If I remember right there is 20-plus lubrication points on the bike and they require regular service, no newfangled rubber bushings on a 101!

I do have that grease gun. Though it looks like it has a standard coupler on it not one for the button head type fittings. Anyway I think a new adapter on a new grease gun will be much easer to use.

I should have time next week to did into the bike so I can come up with my list of parts to order from walker.

Thanks everyone for all the help and advice.

I found some old pics of the bike (and other family photos with Indian bikes) that I posted to Flickr if anyone is interested. The link is in my first post.

I had a chance to look at the grease gun today. I’m no expert on the alimite fittings but it looks to me that it is a standard coupler on the gun.

I also have some unidentified parts. Can anyone help me out as to what they might be for?  None of them look to me to be for this year Scout. My grandfather had 20 or so vintage Indians and Harley’s and my dad had a couple Indians and a couple Japanese bikes so they could be from anything

Again thanks for all the help
