     I have a 1930 101 Scout and it runs perfect but I think that it use a lot of

    gas,what is normal of a bike like this?

    Hello Arnt-Eric , my 1928 101 does about 50 to 55 miles per gallon , which I think works out at about 12kpl ? which is not too bad , always would like better , especially the price of petrol here (England) 95p per liter !!! which works out at £4-31 a gallon !!! You lucky Yanks !!! this is $6.54 and how much do you pay ? anyway all the miles are smile miles so perhaps I get more smiles value per gallon !!?? Happy riding , Ken

    Thanks for your respond,my bike that is a 1930 mod use a lot more gas than yours.I think that here in Norway we pay the same for petrol as you do in England but as you said "every mile is a smily mile" so keep riding!!

    I have measured about 50 MPG with my 1928 101 when solo, but on a recent road run riding double I only got 105 miles on a full tank which is somewhere around 42 MPG.  I ran out of gas.  I have a calibrated electronic speedometer.

    Hi Tim, We recently had full copper head gaskets produced for 45cc barrels. They are 1.5mm thick and cost $120 australia if anyone is interested.     Looking for Leif Jostrand fm Sweden

    Hi,

    I am looking for Leif Jostrand, who seemd to be the previous owner of a swedish Sidecar, which is no in my Garage. But he is not in the present List of members of the 101 Assoc.
    I found his photos of the Sidecar on the Historical WOW fm 1999, page 16 just published here in Historical WOW. I am sure tt my sidecar is exactly the one on the photos, because it has the little Indian Head Emaille Shield at the front and has the holes in the fender for the light. But the light ist missed.
    Would be glad if someone knows something abt Leif and also has some more info for the sidecar. So far i only know what Leif had mentioned: Swedish built, and abt 1939.
